Running the “Bull and Cow “seems a little on the quiet side for the new owners Colonel Wagstaff and his wife until their first guests Alfred Tubbe and Fred Phipps arrive just before race week. Soon after their arrival a French jockey who is riding the favourite at the races also books into the hotel.
Chaos ensues as Tubbe and Phipps aided by their associate Flash Harry connive a way to incapacitate the favourite and replace it with their own horse- but all does not go to plan.
