Friends John and Bill buy a rundown West End theatre. They get ready for their first production.
However, the first time playwright has written an extremely dull play, the cast bicker, the French director who has been brought in to give it class just does not understand.
The leading lady steps in she bans John and Bill from the dress rehearsal - she is going to do the play her way
Next day it opens to rave reviews. She has turned it into a burlesque - success is assured and everyone is happy
